Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will persist through inland parts of northern WA into the
weekend. A ridge will strengthen into the western part of the Pilbara during
the weekend, bringing a freshening of southwest quadrant winds.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high will move through the Southern Ocean on Thursday to reach the Bight by
early Friday. The circulation around the high will push a trough back across
the west coast during tonight, with the trough shifting inland from the west
coast on Thursday afternoon with the sea breeze. The trough will lie just
inland on Friday morning, continuing eastward through the South West Land
Division and Goldfields on Friday and Friday night to clear away into South
Australia on Saturday. A cold front will pass through the South West Land
Division on Saturday before a new ridge builds rapidly through southern and
western parts of the State in its wake.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 31 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the north-central Kimberley and South
Interior, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Possible light showers over the
southern coastal districts, clearing by late morning. Hot conditions over
