Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara, and will persist through
the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies to the south of the state with a trough down the
west coast. The trough will move inland today. Another trough rapidly develops
near the west coast on Thursday before moving inland on Friday. A cold front
will move over the southwest of the state on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 29 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara, most
parts of the Interior, central and eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, inland eastern
Central West and northern Central Wheat Belt districts. Possible showers over
the central and east Eucla. Windy over northeastern and central parts of the
State, mostly in the morning. Hot to very hot over northern parts, the Gascoyne
and most parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 30 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, most parts of the Interior, eastern Gascoyne, most parts of the
Goldfields and inland Eucla. Light showers developing about southern coastal
parts of the South West Land Division. Hot to very hot over northern parts, the
Gascoyne, north and central Goldfields and central and northern parts of the
South West Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 31 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley. Light showers over
southern coastal districts in the morning. Hot to very hot over northern parts,
the Gascoyne, north and central Goldfields, and central and northern South West
Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 1 November
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley. Chance of a shower about
the western south coast late in the evening. Windy at times over central and
western parts of the state. Hot to very hot over northern parts, the Gascoyne,
Goldfields, and inland South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
