Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough extends from the Kimberley into the Pilbara as a high
moves across Bight waters. The western part of the trough over the Pilbara is
moving east allowing a new ridge to the west to move in over the weekend. This
will bring gusty east to southeasterly winds to parts of the Pilbara on Sunday
and Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough over the Goldfields is moving quickly east today. A new
ridge will develop near the south coast during the weekend whilst a new trough
develops down the west coast from next week.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 26 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the north and west Kimberley, North
Interior, Eucla, far east Goldfields and southern Interior. Morning light
showers over the South Coastal districts. Hot to very hot over the north of the
state. Windy over the southeast of the State.

Forecast for Sunday 27 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the north and west Kimberley and
northeast parts of the Interior. Hot to very hot over the north of the state.
Windy over the central and northern parts of the State, apart from the
Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 28 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the north and west Kimberley, western
Interior, eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Windy over
the central and northern parts of the State, apart from the Kimberley. Hot over
the northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 29 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, western
Interior, eastern Gascoyne, northwest Goldfields and the inland northern South
West Land Division. Windy over central parts of the State. Hot to very hot over
most parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
