Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends from the Kimberley to the inland Pilbara as a ridge to
the south brings a southerly change to western Pilbara. The ridge will weaken
middle of next week, allowing the trough to build back to the Pilbara coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough is deepening across southern WA and brings warm to hot and windy
conditions to inland areas. The trough will move east today ahead of a cold
front which will cross the southwest later in the day. A new ridge will develop
over southern WA in the wake of the cold front on Monday. Another weak front
will brush past the southwest coast on Tuesday. A trough will develop near the
west coast later Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 20 October
Showers developing southwest of a line Joondalup to Albany, extending to south
of Shark Bay to Hopetoun during the afternoon and evening. Chance of an
afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm over northern and eastern
Kimberley, northeast Interior and eastern parts of South East Coastal district.
Very hot in the west Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Goldfields, Eucla and
Interior, very warm across the eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Windy at times over central and western parts of the state. Chance of morning
fog across western parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 21 October
Light showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
contracting to the South West district in the afternoon. Chance of an afternoon
shower or thunderstorm over the Kimberley, North Interior and northeastern
parts of South Interior. Windy at times over central and southeastern parts of
the State. Very hot in the west Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and eastern
Interior, cooler change through the eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, Goldfields and Eucla. Windy at times over southern parts of the state.

Forecast for Tuesday 22 October
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
clearing by evening. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the Interior, and
far eastern parts of the Goldfields. Chance of an afternoon shower or
thunderstorm along the northern Kimberley. Windy at times over central parts of
the State. Very hot through the Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 October
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the Interior, far northeast Gascoyne
and southeast Pilbara. Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm close to
the Kimberley north coast. Windy at times over central parts of the State. Very
hot through the Kimberley.
