Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the western Pilbara and will
move inland on the weekend as a ridge pushes in over the Gascoyne coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge over southern WA will move east today, allowing a trough to deepen
through central parts of the state. The trough will move east on Sunday ahead
of a cold front which will cross the southwest later in the day. A new ridge
will develop in the wake of the cold front.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 19 October
Light showers possible south of a line from Perth to Katanning to Albany.
Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the northern and eastern
Kimberley. Possible morning fog over the inland Central West. Temperatures
warming through the Gascoyne, and inland northern and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division and Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 20 October
Showers developing southwest of a line Perth to Albany, extending to southwest
of Shark Bay to Bremer Bay during the afternoon and evening. Chance of an
afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the central and eastern Kimberley and
North Interior. Very hot in the west Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Goldfields,
Eucla and Interior. Windy at times over central and western parts of the state.

Forecast for Monday 21 October
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
contracting to the South West district in the afternoon. Windy at times over
central and southeastern parts of the State. Chance of an afternoon shower or
thunderstorm over the central and eastern Kimberley and North Interior. Very
hot in the west Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior. Windy at times over
central and western parts of the state.

Forecast for Tuesday 22 October
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
clearing by evening. Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm along the
north Kimberley coast and through the Interior. Windy at times over central
parts of the State.
