Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends from the Kimberley to the northern Interior whilst a high
pressure ridge pushes to the south bringing south to southwesterly winds to the
western Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the southeast of the State will move east and out of WA today.
Meanwhile, a ridge over the central west coast will move slowly southeast to be
located near the south coast. The ridge moves east on Wednesday, ahead of a
substantial cold front. Another ridge develops over central parts of the State
on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 15 October
Light showers over the western and southern parts of the South West Land
Division, clearing by afternoon. Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm
over the northern Kimberley. The chance of morning fog over the western South
West Land Division. Very hot through the southern Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 16 October
Showers increasing over the South West Land Division, southern and western
Gascoyne, Goldfields, southern Interior, and Eucla. Chance of a thunderstorm
over the southern Goldfields, South East Coastal, the Central Wheat Belt,
eastern and northwest of the Great Southern, Eucla, Lower West, northern South
West and southern Central west districts. Chance of an afternoon shower or
thunderstorm over the northern Kimberley. Becoming windy over most of the
State. Very hot through the southern Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 17 October
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, far southern Gascoyne
and Eucla. Chance of a thunderstorm over the southern Goldfields, South East
Coastal and Eucla. Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the
northern and eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 18 October
Light showers southwest of Perth to Katanning to Albany and along the coast
east of Esperance. Chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the
northern and eastern Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
