Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from inland Kimberley to the Pilbara coast. The trough will
remain slow moving over the weekend before moving inland across the Pilbara
early next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure over central WA will slowly move south over the
weekend to be located near the south coast by Monday, before moving east on
Tuesday. Meanwhile, a trough will develop over inland southern WA on Sunday and
will move east middle of next week, ahead of a cold front.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 5 October
Light showers over much of the South West Land Division. Chance of a shower or
thunderstorm over the Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 6 October
Showers southwest of a line from Lancelin to Bremer Bay. Chance of an afternoon
shower or thunderstorm over the northern and central Kimberley. Chance of
morning fog over inland South West Land Division, and inland Eucla
Forecast for Monday 7 October
Light showers southwest of a line from Busselton to Bremer Bay. Chance of an
afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the Kimberley, eastern Goldfields and
southern Interior. Chance of morning fog over inland South West Land Division,
and inland Eucla.
Forecast for Tuesday 8 October
Showers about the southwest coast. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the
Kimberley, inland Pilbara, Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne, South East Coastal and
Eucla. Chance of morning fog over southern and central parts of the South West
Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
