Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure lies over the southern Kimberley and Pilbara
which moves northwards today as a high pressure system moves into the Bight.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving into the Bight, allowing a trough to deepen
down the west coast. The west coast trough will move inland today, ahead of a
cold front that will sweep through the South West Land Division on Friday. A
new ridge of high pressure will develop over southern WA in the wake of the
front on the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 26 September
Showers and chance of thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Gascoyne, and
most parts of the South West Land Division, mostly from the afternoon. Chance
of a shower over the western Pilbara and far western Goldfields. Thunderstorms
may be gusty over the South West Land Division. Windy over most parts of the
state south of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 27 September
Showers extending across much of Western Australia, more likely over southern
parts. Chance of a thunderstorm over eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, far southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla, Interior and
across northern parts of the Kimberley. Windy over central and southern parts
of the state.

Forecast for Saturday 28 September
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
Goldfields, Eucla, Interior, and eastern Pilbara. Showers contracting out of
the Goldfields and Eucla during the day. Chance of thunderstorms over the north
and east Kimberley, eastern Interior and far northeast Eucla. Windy through the
southern Interior and Eucla. Chance of a light morning frost over the northwest
Great Southern and far southwest Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Sunday 29 September
Light showers southwest of a line from Perth to Bremer Bay and along the south
coast. Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the north and east
Kimberley and northeast Interior. Chance of a light morning frost over the
inland central and eastern South West Land Division and adjacent southwest
Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
