Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure over southern Kimberley, North Interior and
Pilbara will move northwards today as a ridge strengthens to the south and
brings fresh east to southeasterly winds to the area.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over inland Gascoyne and Goldfields is contracting east ahead of a
weak cold front brushing past the south coast. A high pressure centre will move
quickly into the Bight today, allowing a trough to deepen down the west coast.
The west coast trough will move inland on Thursday, ahead of a cold front that
will sweep through the South West Land Division on Friday. A new ridge of high
pressure will develop over southern WA in the wake of the front on the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 25 September
Showers and chance of thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley, and
eastern parts of the Interior. Showers over western Kimberley, northern
Pilbara, western Interior, eastern Goldfields, Eucla, and South East Coastal
district. Showers slowly contracting east during the day. Windy in the morning
over central and southern parts of the state. Smoke haze about parts of Lower
West and South West districts.

Forecast for Thursday 26 September
Showers and chance of thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Gascoyne, and
inland parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of a shower over Pilbara,
southern Interior, adjacent central Goldfields and South West districts.
Thunderstorms may be gusty over the South West Land Division. Windy over most
parts of the state south of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 27 September
Showers extending across much of Western Australia. Chance of a thunderstorm
through eastern and central parts of the South West Land Division, southeast
Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla and across northern parts of the Kimberley.
Windy over central and southern parts of the state.

Forecast for Saturday 28 September
Showers across much of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, eastern parts
of the Gascoyne, Eucla, western Interior, and eastern Pilbara. Chance of a
thunderstorm through southeast Interior and across the Kimberley. Windy through
the southern Interior and Eucla
