Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure over the Kimberley and Pilbara is expected to
deepen over the weekend and extend to the Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends along the south coast. A broad trough lies inland
from the west coast and will deepen over the weekend and move closer to the
coast. A weak cold front will brush the southwest corner of the State on Monday
before a new ridge moves in from the west.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 21 September
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne and
northern Goldfields. Isolated heavy falls possible across the inland Kimberley
and Pilbara. Light showers or drizzle over southern coastal districts. Chance
of morning fog and frost over southern parts of the South West Land Division,
far southern Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 22 September
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne,
northern parts of the Central West and northern Goldfields. Isolated heavy
falls possible across the inland Kimberley, inland Pilbara and Interior. Light
showers about the southwest coast. Chance of morning fog over the South East
Coastal and Eucla districts.

Forecast for Monday 23 September
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne,
Goldfields and Eucla. Isolated heavy falls possible across the inland Kimberley
and the Interior. Light showers possible over the southwest corner of the
State. Chance of morning fog over southern parts of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 24 September
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Interior and adjacent parts of
the Pilbara, Gascoyne and Goldfields. Showers possible over remaining parts of
the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Eucla, Goldfields and southern parts of the South West
Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
