Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system south of WA continues to direct fresh and gusty
east to southeast winds across the region. A trough lies near the west
Kimberley and Pilbara coasts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high centred in the Bight will slowly move east early during the early part
of the week whilst a trough remains near the west coast. The trough will move
inland from the west coast on Tuesday, ahead of a weak cold front forecast to
brush along the south coast later Tuesday into Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 16 September
Possible showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over eastern parts of the
Kimberley and the north and central Interior. Possible morning showers about
the coast between Esperance and Caiguna. Windy over most parts of the state.
Warmer temperatures persisting near the west coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 September
Possible showers over the central and eastern Kimberley. Mostly sunny over the
remainder of the state. Windy in the morning over the Pilbara, Gascoyne,
Interior and Kimberley. Warmer temperatures persisting near the west coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 September
Light showers south of a line Bunbury to Israelite Bay. Mostly sunny over the
remainder of the state. Possible morning fog over the South West, South Coastal
and adjacent Great Southern districts. Windy in the morning over the central
and east Pilbara, and Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 19 September
Dry across WA apart from light showers along the south coast west of Israelite
Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
