Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system moving into the Bight will direct an east to
southeast wind surge northwards over the area, pushing the surface trough
towards the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge off the southwest coast will move towards the Bight
today, directing moderate to fresh and gusty easterly winds across southern and
central WA. A west coast trough forms in the second half of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 11 September
Showers over the southern Goldfields and Eucla clearing during the morning.
Showers with the chance of a thunderstorm over the inland central and eastern
Pilbara, central and eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and western and
central Interior. Isolated afternoon showers possible over northern and western
Kimberley, mainly near the coasts. Chance of morning fog over southern
districts of the South West Land Division. Windy at times over central and
southern WA. Temperatures warming down the west coast.

Forecast for Thursday 12 September
Showers with the chance of a thunderstorm over the far southeastern Pilbara,
far northeastern Gascoyne, and western and central Interior. Isolated afternoon
showers possible over the northern and western Kimberley, mainly near the
coasts. Chance of morning fog over the South Coastal and South East Coastal
districts. Windy at times over most parts of the state. Warmer temperatures
about western parts.

Forecast for Friday 13 September
Light showers developing over the South Coastal district during the day. Chance
of an afternoon shower about the north Kimberley coast. Chance of morning fog
over the South Coastal district. Windy at times over most parts of the state.
Warmer temperatures about western parts.

Forecast for Saturday 14 September
Showers over the south and South East Coastal districts and along the Eucla
coast. Windy at times over most parts of the state.
