Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough is located over the Kimberley as a ridge over southern WA brings a
southeast wind change to the Pilbara and North Interior. The ridge will move to
the south coast today, allowing the trough to extend back along the Pilbara
coast by Monday. The trough will move inland across the Pilbara on Tuesday
ahead of a new ridge to the southwest.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge over southern WA is slowly moving south and will settle
near the south coast today. The ridge will move east on Monday, as a trough
deepens inland from the west coast. The trough will push inland on Tuesday,
ahead of a weak front brushing past the south coast. A new high pressure ridge
will develop about the southwest coast in the wake of the front later Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 8 September
Light showers possible south of a line Rockingham to Ravensthorpe to
Balladonia. Isolated afternoon showers about the north Kimberley coast. Light
showers over northeastern parts of the Interior. Areas of morning fog through
central and southern parts of the South West Land Division, far north
Kimberley, and the southern Goldfields. Chance of morning frost over the
Goldfields, southern Interior, adjacent Eucla and far eastern parts of the
Central Wheat Belt. Windy over the northern Gascoyne, northern Interior,
Pilbara and southwestern Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 9 September
Chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm over northern Gascoyne
and adjacent southern Pilbara. Light showers south of a line from Harvey to
Israelite Bay. Possible morning fog over southern coastal districts and
northern Kimberley. Windy in the morning over the northern Gascoyne, northern
Interior, Pilbara and southwestern Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 10 September
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers and
isolated thunderstorms across the Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior, eastern
Gascoyne, adjacent Pilbara, and South East Coastal district. Afternoon showers
over north and northwest Kimberley near the coasts. Windy in the morning over
northeast Interior and far eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 11 September
Showers over the Goldfields, Eucla, Interior, eastern Gascoyne and Pilbara.
Chance of a thunderstorm over northeast Gascoyne, adjacent Goldfields, western
Interior and southeast Pilbara. Windy at times over central and southern WA.
