Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the central Kimberley along the Pilbara coast. The trough
will move north towards the Kimberley coast over the weekend as a ridge extends
over southern WA.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is strengthening over southern WA and will extend
eastwards before settling near the south coast on Sunday. A trough will deepen
inland from the west coast on Monday before pushing further east on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 7 September
Light showers southwest of a line from Dongara to Bremer Bay. Isolated
afternoon showers about the far northern Kimberley. Chance of morning fog over
the inland South West Land Division and northwest Kimberley. Chance of morning
frost over the far eastern Wheat Belt, western Goldfields and inland Eucla.
Fresh and gusty winds in the morning through the Gascoyne, northern Goldfields,
southern Pilbara and northern South Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 8 September
Light showers possible south of a line Bunbury to Balladonia. Isolated
afternoon showers about the northwest Kimberley coast. Areas of morning fog
through central and southern parts of the South West Land Division and the
southern Goldfields. Fresh and gusty winds in the morning over central WA and
extending into the Pilbara and southwestern Kimberley.
Forecast for Monday 9 September
Possible morning fog over southern coastal districts and the far northern
Kimberley. Possible afternoon and evening showers over the inland Gascoyne,
inland Central West, Central Wheat Belt, Goldfields and western South Interior,
and in the far northern Kimberley. Possible light showers south of a line from
Busselton to Hopetoun.
Forecast for Tuesday 10 September
Light showers south of a line Busselton to Eyre. Possible afternoon and evening
showers across central and eastern parts of the State, including the
Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior, inland Gascoyne and adjacent parts of the
Pilbara, North Interior and South West Land Division and in the far northern
Kimberley.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
