Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies near the Pilbara coast and extend eastward into the inland
Kimberley and North Interior. A high pressure ridge will continue to strengthen
into the North Interior and inland Pilbara. The trough will deepen down the
west coast tonight and on Monday before moving towards the southeast on Tuesday
as the ridge over the inland Pilbara weakens.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extends across the west coast and through central parts of the State
while a fresh west to southwesterly flow is over the south coastal districts
and Southern Ocean. The ridge will gradually move eastward and also broaden to
the south, settling the winds over southern WA later today. On Monday the high
will move across South Australia as a trough deepens down the west coast. The
trough will move inland during Tuesday as a cold front reaches the South West
of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 1 September
Light showers or drizzle over the southern and central South West Land
Division, most likely through the Lower West, South West, and western parts of
the South Coastal District and Great Southern. Chance of morning fog over the

conditions will be hazardous for coastal activities between Cape Leeuwin and
Israelite Bay.

Partly cloudy in the southwest corner with mostly sunny skies for the remainder
of the State. Areas of early fog over inland southern parts and in the far
northern Kimberley. Unseasonably warm through the Pilbara and Gascoyne with
