Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is developing over the Gascoyne and adjacent Pilbara. The
ridge will move east on Monday allowing a weak trough to develop over western
Pilbara, followed by another ridge across the Gascoyne on Tuesday that will
push the trough inland. In the meantime, unseasonally warm temperatures over
the Kimberley this weekend will spread to the Pilbara and Interior early next
week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front embedded in a vigorous westerly flow is moving swiftly
across the southern parts of the state. The westerly flow will ease tonight
with a ridge of high pressure developing across the central parts of the state
from today into tomorrow. Another strong cold front will move through the
southern districts on Monday and Tuesday, followed by a high pressure system on
Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 25 August
Light showers south of a line Eneabba to Bremer Bay and along the south coast
to Israelite Bay. Windy in the morning over Eucla, southeast Goldfields,
Pilbara and North Interior. Chance of morning fog over inland northern parts of
Central West, adjacent Gascoyne and far western Kimberley. Surf conditions will
be hazardous for coastal activities between Jurien Bay and Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Monday 26 August
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Ravensthorpe, becoming more
frequent over the South West district. Becoming windy over southern parts of
the South West Land Division, very windy across the southern coastal districts.
Morning fog over northern parts of the South West Land Division and southern
Gascoyne. Very hot over the northwest Kimberley. Surf conditions will be
hazardous for coastal activities between Cape Leeuwin and Albany.

Forecast for Tuesday 27 August
Showers south of a line from Shark Bay to Eyre. Windy over southern parts of
the state, very windy over the southern coastal districts. Very hot over the
western Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 28 August
Light showers south of a line Geraldton to Bremer Bay. Very hot over the
western Kimberley.
