Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara. A low pressure system
bringing showers to the western Pilbara this morning. A high pressure ridge
will then develop over the northern Gascoyne and adjacent Pilbara over the
weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system will move away from the southern coast during today. A
strong cold front embedded in a vigorous westerly flow will move over southern
parts of the State on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 23 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, far western Pilbara,
southwestern Goldfields, and Eucla. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm about the
coast between Perth and Esperance. Windy over southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Saturday 24 August
Windy with showers over the South West Land Division, southwest Gascoyne,
southern Goldfields, southern Interior and Eucla. Gusty thunderstorms over
southern and central parts of the South West Land Division. Surf conditions
will be hazardous for coastal activities for parts of the west coast.

Forecast for Sunday 25 August
Showers over the South West Land Division and south coast. Surf conditions will
be hazardous for coastal activities for parts of the west coast.

Forecast for Monday 26 August
Showers southwest of a line from Lancelin to Bremer Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
