Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough is weakening as it moves westwards across the Pilbara, as a high
pressure ridge brings an easterly flow through much of northern WA. The
northern end of a trough will move across the west Pilbara coast during Sunday
evening before stagnating over inland parts of the region early next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will pass through the South West Land Division during today,
followed by another cold front quickly brushing past the south coast on Sunday
night. A weak ridge will quickly pass through central WA on Monday and Tuesday
before the next cold front reaching the South West during late Tuesday or early
Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 11 August
Showers southwest of a line Coral Bay to Eyre. Gusty thunderstorms possible
southwest of Gingin to Albany, mainly near the coast. Possible morning fog over
inland parts of the western Gascoyne, Kimberley and northern Central West.
Unseasonably warm through the southeast of the State.

Forecast for Monday 12 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Eucla and far southern
and western parts of the Interior. Possible thunderstorms about eastern
Goldfields. Possible morning showers over southern and western parts of the
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Tuesday 13 August
Possible showers southwest of a line from Shark Bay to Israelite Bay, most
likely about the Lower West, South West and western parts of the Great
Southern. Light showers contracting out of the Eucla and southern Interior in
the morning. Areas of fog in the morning over the inland Central West, Central
Wheat Belt, Great Southern and eastern South West.

Forecast for Wednesday 14 August
Showers extending over the South West Land Division, southern and western
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and southern Interior. Chance of a thunderstorm
about coastal parts of the Lower West, South West, and South Coastal.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
