Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure to the south is bringing a southeasterly flow to
northern parts over the next couple of days. A weak trough lies over the west
Pilbara and will extending east and into the Kimberley later in the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southern WA and is moving slowly eastward as
a series of cold fronts move through until Wednesday. A new ridge will then
develop over southern WA on Thursday and Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 6 August
Showers southwest of a line from Bunbury to Albany, extending to southwest of
Lancelin to Albany by midday and southwest of Geraldton to Bremer Bay by late
evening. Gusty thunderstorms and moderate to heavy falls possible southwest of
Perth to Walpole.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 August
Showers southwest of a line from Carnarvon to Forrest. Gusty thunderstorms and
moderate to heavy falls possible southwest of Perth to Walpole, with gusty
thunderstorms extending east along the south coast to Esperance.

Forecast for Thursday 8 August
Chance of light showers over the South West Land Division and Eucla,
contracting to coastal parts during the afternoon. Possible morning fog over
the inland South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 9 August
Chance of light showers southwest of Lancelin to Bremer Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
