Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southern WA. A broad trough lies near the
Pilbara coast and a cloud band extends from the Pilbara through the northeast
Gascoyne and Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over southern WA and will move slowly southeast
over the weekend. A weak cold front will brush the southwest corner of the
State on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 3 August
Isolated showers along the south coast west of Bremer Bay. Showers also for the
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, Interior and southwest
Kimberley, tending to rain about the Pilbara and Interior. Chance of a
thunderstorm over the northeast Gascoyne and far western Interior. Possible
morning frost and fog over the inland South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, and western Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 4 August
Showers southwest of a line Busselton to Walpole. Showers also for the western
Kimberley, eastern Goldfields, Eucla and Interior. Possible morning frost and
fog over the inland South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 5 August
Showers southwest of line from Jurien Bay to Ravensthorpe with thunderstorms
possible about the South West Capes. Light showers also possible over the
southeastern Interior and eastern Eucla. Possible morning frost over the
eastern Wheatbelt and Great Southern and southwest Goldfields. Morning fog over
the Eucla.

Forecast for Tuesday 6 August
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Esperance with thunderstorms
possible about the South West Capes. Patchy frost through central parts of the
State.
