Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge building over central Australia directs an easterly flow in the north.
Unseasonal patchy light rain from a weak cloud band over northwest Kimberley
will clear this morning. A trough near the Pilbara coast on Wednesday will move
inland later in the week. Associated cloud band will develop over the Pilbara
on Wednesday before extending to the Interior and southern Kimberley later in
the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A series of cold fronts and troughs will move across southwest WA this week. A
strong cold front will combine with a cloud band to bring widespread rain to
southern and central WA on Wednesday and Thursday. A ridge of high pressure
will extend across southern WA at the end of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 30 July
Rain and showers with the chance of a thunderstorm southwest of a line Denham
to Eucla. Light showers clearing northwest Kimberley in the morning. Chance of
morning fog over northern parts of Central West and adjacent Gascoyne. Tides
will be higher than normal about the Perth coast. Dangerous surf conditions for
coastal activities about the southwest coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 31 July
Rain and showers with chance of a thunderstorm southwest of a line Port Hedland
to Eucla, more frequent over the western districts. Possible heavy falls and
damaging wind gusts in thunderstorms over the western districts of the South
West Land Division. Chance of morning fog over northern parts of Central West
and adjacent Gascoyne. Windy about the Goldfields and eastern Gascoyne. Tides
will be higher than normal about the Perth coast.

Forecast for Thursday 1 August
Rain and showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Eucla,
Goldfields, central and southern Interior, and Pilbara. Chance of thunderstorms
over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent
Goldfields. Small hail possible over southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Windy at times about central and southern WA. Tides will be higher
than normal about the west and south coasts.

Forecast for Friday 2 August
Showers over the southern and western districts of the South West Land
Division, Eucla, Interior, Pilbara and adjacent southwest Kimberley. Small hail
possible about the south coast. Chance of morning frost over inland South West
Land Division, adjacent Goldfields and southern Gascoyne.
