Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high in the Bight extends a ridge over central parts of the state. A weak
cloud band will bring patchy light rain to parts of the Kimberley and North
Interior this weekend and on Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over central parts of the state, while a cold
front approaches from the west. The cold front will move over southwest WA
today and Monday, followed by a series of cold fronts and troughs across
southwest WA for much of next week.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 28 July
Rain and showers southwest of a line Geraldton to Hopetoun during the morning
extending to southwest of a line Denham to Esperance during the afternoon.
Chance of gusty thunderstorms over the Lower West and South West districts,
with heavy rainfall possible. Light showers over the central and eastern
Kimberley and northern parts of the North Interior.

Forecast for Monday 29 July
Rain and showers with the chance of a thunderstorm southwest of a line Denham
to Eyre. Showers possible over the Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 30 July
Rain and showers with the chance of a thunderstorm southwest of a line Denham
to Eyre. Light showers possible over eastern Eucla and southern Interior. Light
showers clearing northwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 31 July
Showers southwest of a line Port Hedland to Eucla. Chance of a thunderstorm
southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Walpole.
