Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extending across the southern half of the State will
gradually weaken over the weekend. A new ridge building through northern
Australia will bring a cooler southeast change from Tuesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extending over the southern half of the State will
dominate the weather pattern today. A trough and a low pressure system
developing offshore from the west coast will move inland across the western
districts on Sunday and weaken early Monday. The ridge will strengthen again
over southern WA on Monday and Tuesday. A cold front will approach the west
coast later Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 13 July
Light showers over southern coastal districts. Morning fog over the inland
southern South West Land Division, Eucla and western Pilbara.
Forecast for Sunday 14 July
Showers over southern parts of the Central West, Lower West, Central Wheat
Belt, Great Southern, southern Goldfields, and southern coastal districts, more
frequent about the Southwest Capes.
Forecast for Monday 15 July
Light showers along the south coast, eastern parts of the South East Coastal,
southern Goldfields, southern Interior, and Eucla. Chance of morning fog over
the inland South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 16 July
Light showers along the south coast, eastern parts of the South East Coastal,
south Goldfields, Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Chance of morning fog over
southeastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and
Eucla. Chance of morning frost over southern Interior. Wind across central and
southern WA.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
