Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Windy and cooler conditions will persist across the north of the State this
week under the influence of a high pressure ridge to the south.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weakening cold front is moving eastwards across the south coast and is
expected to become slow moving about the Eucla coast, with a low pressure
system developing over the far southeast of the State during today and
Thursday. A ridge of high pressure is following in the footsteps of the front
and will extend across central and southwest WA for the remainder of the week.
Another cold front will approach the west coast on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 3 July
Showers and drizzle over the south coastal districts east of Walpole, southern
Goldfields and far southern parts of South Interior. Isolated showers over
northern Pilbara, southern Kimberley and North Interior, clearing during the
day. Chance of morning frost over inland parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Interior, and eastern Eucla. Windy across northern and central parts
of the State.
Forecast for Thursday 4 July
Showers and drizzle over the south coastal districts, eastern Great Southern,
eastern parts of central Wheat Belt, Goldfields and South Interior, more
frequent about the Eucla coast. Chance of morning fog and frost over inland
parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields and South Interior. Windy
across northern and central parts of the State.
Forecast for Friday 5 July
Light showers and drizzle about the south coast east of Albany, eastern parts
of South East Coastal, Eucla, and Goldfields. Chance of morning frost over
inland southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields,
inland Eucla and South Interior. Windy across northern and central parts of the
State.
Forecast for Saturday 6 July
Showers developing about the west coast in the evening. Chance of morning fog
and frost over eastern parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields,
inland Eucla and South Interior. Windy across northern parts of the State in
the morning, becoming windy about the west coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
