Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies near the west Pilbara coast, with an associated cloud band
lingering over the southwest Pilbara. The cloud band will extend to the rest of
the Pilbara and central Interior on Tuesday, before weakening mid week.
Meanwhile, a weak ridge over northern Australia maintains mostly light winds
and clear skies elsewhere. A strengthening ridge across southern WA from
Wednesday will bring a cooler, drier southeast surge to most areas later in the
week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cloud band extending from the Gascoyne to Eucla is persisting and may produce
heavy rainfall over parts of the Gascoyne over the next couple of days. A weak
cold front is brushing past the southeast coast today, followed by a weak ridge
in the far west. Another cold front will move across the southern coastal
districts during Tuesday. A firm ridge will then extend over southern WA from
middle of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 17 June
Rain and chance of thunderstorms over southwest Pilbara and Gascoyne, with
possible heavy falls through the far southwest Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne.
