Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends into the west Pilbara whilst a weak ridge of high
pressure extends through the remainder of northern WA. A cloud band will extend
from the west Pilbara through to the Eucla until Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge over central parts of the state is moving southeast and weakening. A
trough is developing across the Gascoyne and Goldfields, with associated cloud
band extending across much of southern and western WA. The cloud band will
bring rain from the Gascoyne southeastward through northern and eastern parts
of the South West Land Division, as well as the Goldfields and Eucla, until
Thursday. Another trough located near the southwest coast and associated low
pressure system is slowly moving east. A new weak ridge will arrive over
southwest WA on Thursday and move east across southern WA on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 12 June
Showers southwest of a line from Exmouth to Eucla, with more persistent rain
over inland Gascoyne, adjacent Central West, northeastern parts of Central
Wheat Belt, southern and central Goldfields and western Eucla. Isolated heavy
falls possible through inland Gascoyne and central Goldfields. Chance of a
thunderstorm about southern parts of Central West, Lower West, adjacent South
West and southwest coast. Possible morning fog over inland southern coastal
districts.

Forecast for Thursday 13 June
Showers and rain clearing from the west Pilbara and inland Gascoyne. Chance of
showers about the west coast south of Geraldton. Showers about the south coast
districts with areas of rain over southern and eastern Goldfields, western
parts of South Interior and Eucla. Chance of a thunderstorm near the Esperance
coast. Possible morning fog over inland South West Land Division, southern
Gascoyne and southwestern Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 14 June
Possible showers, mainly light, associated with a cloud band extending from the
west Pilbara and Gascoyne into the Goldfields. Chance of showers about south
coast and southwest coast south of Harvey. Areas of fog in the morning about
southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Saturday 15 June
Showers about eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern and
central Goldfields and Eucla, and west of a line from Dongara to Albany. Chance
of a thunderstorm about the west coast south of Perth. Chance of morning fog
over inland Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
