Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Pilbara and Kimberley. A ridge to the south of the
State will strengthen from Friday bringing a return of moderate to fresh and
gusty winds to the area.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies to the south of the State will strengthen over
the Bight from Friday. A weak cold front may brush the South West Capes later
on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 17 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the inland northwest Gascoyne and southwest
Pilbara in the afternoon and evening. Mostly sunny day over the remainder of
the state. Chance of morning fog about southern coastal districts of the South
West Land Division and Eucla. Windy over most parts of the state away from the
south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 18 May
Mostly sunny throughout. Windy over most parts of the State, apart from the far
southeast.

Forecast for Sunday 19 May
Mostly sunny throughout. Windy over most parts of the State, apart from the far
southeast.

Forecast for Monday 20 May
Slight chance of a light shower about the South West capes, otherwise mostly
sunny for the remainder of the State. Windy over the north and west of the
State.
