Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge to the southeast is weakening with a broad trough developing over the
Pilbara and Kimberley. The ridge will strengthen again later in the week
bringing a return of moderate to fresh and gusty winds to the area.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies to the southeast of the State with a surface trough
lingering about the west coast. Another high to the southwest of the State
progresses east later in the week.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 15 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern Gascoyne, western South Interior,
and northern Goldfields. Chance of morning fog over the Southern Coastal
districts.

Forecast for Thursday 16 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the South Interior, clearing later. Chance of
morning fog about southern coastal districts of the South West Land Division
and far western Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 17 May
Partly cloudy over northern parts, and a mostly sunny day over the remainder of
the state. Chance of morning fog about southern parts of the South West Land
Division and western Eucla. Windy over most parts of the state away from the
south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 18 May
Mostly sunny throughout. Windy over most parts of the state away from the south
coast.
