Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over the State is directing moderate to fresh east to southeasterly
winds over the area. Winds will ease from Monday as the ridge moves slightly
further southeast. A surface trough will move over western parts of the Pilbara
on Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lingers over the south of the State and slowly moves
east. A trough will develop offshore towards the west, moving closer to the
coast from Monday and Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 12 May
Possible showers and the chance of gusty thunderstorms southwest of Perth to
York to Bremer Bay, most likely in the afternoon and evening. Chance of morning
fog over inland central parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 13 May
Possible showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western and central Gascoyne
and northern Central West district, with moderate to heavy falls possible with
thunderstorms in the far southwest of the Gascoyne south of Denham and in
northern parts of the Central West district north of about Geraldton. Possible
shower also over the far west Pilbara. Chance of a thunderstorm over the
eastern South Coastal district and adjacent southeast Great Southern District.

Forecast for Tuesday 14 May
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the west Pilbara, Gascoyne, northwestern
Goldfields, Central West district and adjacent northern Lower West and Central
Wheat Belt districts. Chance of morning fog over the South West district.

Forecast for Wednesday 15 May
Possible showers and thunderstorms over the inland Gascoyne, and far eastern
Central West, Possible showers also over the western South Interior, northern
Goldfields, and northern Central Wheat Belt district.
