Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge will persist over the north of the State for most of the week bringing
fresh and gusty east to southeast winds. A trough will begin moving over
western parts of the Pilbara on Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system will remain near Tasmania during the rest of the week. A
trough off the west coast will move inland on Friday. A low pressure system
moves south of the State over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 2 May
Showers continuing over the South West Land Division and far southwestern
Goldfields. Moderate falls possible over the western part of the Southwest
district. Chance of a thunderstorm southwest of Jurien Bay to Albany, possibly
severe near the west coast south of Lancelin.

Forecast for Friday 3 May
Showers south of a line from about Jurien Bay to Norseman to Israelite Bay.

Forecast for Saturday 4 May
Showers over the far south of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 5 May
Showers over the far south of the South West Land Division. Chance of morning
fog southwest of Lancelin to Israelite Bay.
