Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge to the south weakens and moves east early in the week,
allowing the trough to move back over land. A new ridge then strengthens to the
south bringing a return of dry, fresh and gusty easterly winds to northern
parts mid to late week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system over Victoria is slowly moving eastwards whilst a broad
trough lies just inland from the west coast. The trough will be pushed
eastwards on Monday by a weak cold front brushing the south coast. A new ridge
will rapidly strengthen south of the State in the wake of the front.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 22 April
Light showers over the South West, adjacent Lower West, South Coastal, southern
and western parts of the Great Southern and South East Coast districts. Dry
over the remainder of the State. Much cooler for southern parts of the South
West Land Division. Windy near the west coast.Moderate to fresh and gusty
southerly change extending through southwestern parts during the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 April
Light showers about the south and Eucla coasts. Dry over the remainder of the
State. Windy over southern and central parts of the State.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 April
Light showers about the south and Eucla coasts. Dry over the remainder of the
State. Windy over central and norther parts of the State, and along the Darling
Scarp.

Forecast for Thursday 25 April
Light showers about the south and Eucla coasts. Dry over the remainder of the
State. Windy over central and norther parts of the State, , and along the
Darling Scarp.
