Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge south of the State is directing east to southeasterly
winds across northern WA, pushing the surface trough offshore from the
Kimberley and Pilbara coasts. The trough offshore extends to Ex-Tropical
Cyclone Olga, located offshore from the North West Cape, with the tropical low
expected to continue to weaken on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday the ridge will
weaken with the surface trough moving south back over the Pilbara and Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge over the south of the State coupled with a surface trough
down the west coast will dominate the weather pattern over the next couple of
days. The trough will move inland later on Saturday, continuing to move east
over the weekend. A new high pressure ridge will rapidly develop over southern
parts on Monday.
