Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A persistent ridge south of the State is directing east to southeasterly winds
across northern WA. Ex-Tropical Cyclone Olga is located offshore from the
Pilbara coast and is moving to the south southwest. The system forecast to move
just offshore or over the Exmouth region and North West Cape peninsula during
Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge over the south of the State coupled with a trough down
the west coast will dominate the weather pattern over the next couple of days.
The trough will move inland later on Saturday ahead of a weak cold front
approaching from the southwest.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 11 April
Very windy, showers, thunderstorms, and possible moderate to heavy falls over
the far western Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne. Showers also possible over the
remaining western Pilbara and inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and adjacent
southwest Interior. Isolated light showers along the south coast east of
Denmark. Windy over remaining western and southern parts of the Pilbara and
northern Gascoyne, mostly in the morning.

Forecast for Friday 12 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far western Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne.
Showers also possible over the remaining western Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
and central Goldfields, and northern and northeastern parts of the South West
Land Division. Chance of a thunderstorm about the southern Central West and
northern Lower West districts. Isolated light showers along the south coast
east of Denmark.

Forecast for Saturday 13 April
Showers possible over the far western Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, eastern
and central parts of the South West Land Division and Eucla. Chance of
thunderstorms over the southern Gascoyne, western and central Goldfields and
northeastern parts of the South West Land Division. Isolated light showers
along the south coast east of Albany.

Forecast for Sunday 14 April
Showers possible over the northern and eastern Goldfields, south Interior, and
Eucla, contracting southeast and clearing during the morning. Isolated light
showers about the western south coast west of Bremer Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
