Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A persistent ridge south of the State is directing east to southeasterly winds
across northern WA. Ex-Tropical Cyclone Olga is located well offshore from the
Pilbara coast. It is expected to move to the southwest, passing offshore just
to the north of Exmouth later today and into tomorrow.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge over the south of the State coupled with a trough down
the west coast will dominate the weather pattern for the remainder of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 10 April
Showers and thunderstorms, with possible moderate to heavy falls over the
western Pilbara and inland far northern Gascoyne. Showers also possible over
the remaining northeast Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields and adjacent western
Interior. Isolated light showers along the south coast east of Denmark. Very
windy over coastal parts of the western Pilbara.

Forecast for Thursday 11 April
Showers over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and adjacent
western Interior. Possible moderate to heavy falls over the far western Pilbara
and western Gascoyne. Chance of thunderstorms over the far west Pilbara and
adjacent northwest Gascoyne. Isolated light showers along the south coast east
of Denmark. Windy conditions possible over the western Pilbara and northern
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 12 April
Chance of a shower over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, and northern
and central parts of the South West Land Division. Isolated light showers along
the south coast east of Denmark.

Forecast for Saturday 13 April
Chance of a shower over the far northern parts of the Kimberley, far western
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, eastern and central parts of the South West Land
Division and Eucla. Chance of thunderstorms over the southern Gascoyne, western
Goldfields and inland northern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
