Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A persistent high pressure ridge to the south of the State is resulting in a
southeasterly flow, fresh and gusty at times on Friday but easing over the
weekend. A trough will lie over the far west Pilbara on the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is slowly drifting across the Great Australian Bight
waters, while a surface trough develops down the west coast on Friday and over
the weekend. A new high pressure ridge develops on Monday which pushes the
trough to the northwest of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 5 April
Possible shower near the far north and northwest Kimberley coast, otherwise the
remainder of the state will remain dry. Windy over central and northern
districts.

Forecast for Saturday 6 April
Possible shower near the far north and northwest Kimberley coast, otherwise the
remainder of the state will remain dry. Possible morning fog over the far east
Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 7 April
Possible shower near the far north and northwest Kimberley coast and south
coastal districts between Walpole and Hopetoun, otherwise the remainder of the
state will remain dry. Possible morning fog over the southern Eucla and
adjacent Southeast Coastal district.

Forecast for Monday 8 April
Possible light showers over south coastal districts, east of Albany. Possible
morning fog over the far east Eucla. Windy over the southwest and central parts
of the State, particularly over the Darling Scarp in the morning.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
