Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough near the Pilbara coast extends into the Kimberley. The trough will
move offshore at times from Tuesday as a high pressure ridge strengthens over
southern WA and pushes a southeasterly surge into northern parts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is developing about the southwest coast behind a weak
cold front moving east along the south coast. The high pressure ridge will
build over southern WA from Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 1 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the northeast Kimberley, with possible showers
extending over the central and eastern Kimberley, and far northeast North
Interior. Light showers or drizzle about southern coastal districts east of
Walpole and far southern and southeastern parts of the Goldfields, mostly
morning. Very hot about the southwest Kimberley. Windy over southern districts
and the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Tuesday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley, with possible
showers over northern parts of North Interior. Possible light showers or
drizzle along the southern coast, mostly morning. Windy over central and
northern districts and the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Wednesday 3 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and northwest Kimberley, with possible
showers over the remaining Kimberley. Possible light showers or drizzle along
the south coastal east of Esperance. Windy over central and northern districts.

Forecast for Thursday 4 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north Kimberley, with possible showers
extending into the northwest and central Kimberley. Possible light showers or
drizzle along the Eucla coast. Windy over central and northern districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
