Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough will persist over the north of the State. A
tropical low well offshore to the northwest of the state is moving east to
southeast. There is a high chance this tropical low will intensify into a
tropical cyclone from Friday and may impact the Pilbara or west Kimberley coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough lies through central and far southeastern parts of the
State and will shift eastward during today. A high pressure ridge is
strengthening south of the state with a trough developing down the west coast.
The trough will deepen later in the week as a high moves into the Southern
Ocean.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 13 March
Rain, thunderstorms and heavy falls in the north and east Goldfields, southwest
South Interior and parts of the Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms over the most
parts of the Kimberley, Pilbara, north and east Gascoyne, central Goldfields
and remaining west and south Interior. Moderate to heavy falls possible with
thunderstorms in the Kimberley. Possible showers over southern and eastern
parts of the South West Land Division. Windy at times over northern parts of
the South West Land Division, adjacent Goldfields and south and central
Gascoyne.

Forecast for Thursday 14 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne,
far western Interior and northern Goldfields. Possible showers over southern
and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy at times over southern
and central parts of the state.

Forecast for Friday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne,
and far northern parts of the South West Land Division. Possible showers over
remaining northern parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, and the
Eucla. Windy at times over southeastern and central parts of the state.

Forecast for Saturday 16 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, western
Gascoyne, and Central West districts . Possible showers over remaining parts of
the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, and Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
