Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough will persist over the north of the State during the
next couple of days before moving northwards closer to the coast mid to late
week. A tropical low well offshore to the northwest of the state is moving
southeast and forecast to develop later this week with the chance it may impact
the Pilbara or west Kimberley coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough lies through central and far southeastern parts of the
State and will remain near stationary until Wednesday. A high pressure ridge is
strengthening south of the state with a trough developing down the west coast.
The trough will deepen later in the week as a high moves into the Southern
Ocean.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 12 March
Rain, thunderstorms and heavy falls in the north and east Goldfields, southwest
and central South Interior and Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms over the
Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, central Goldfields and remaining
Interior. Moderate to heavy falls possible with thunderstorms in the Kimberley
and adjacent northwest North Interior. Possible showers in the eastern and
southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy at times over northern
parts of the South West Land Division, adjacent Goldfields and south and
central Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 13 March
Rain, thunderstorms and heavy falls in the north and east Goldfields, southwest
South Interior and parts of the Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms over the most
parts of the Kimberley, the Pilbara, north and east Gascoyne, central
Goldfields and remaining west and south Interior. Moderate to heavy falls
possible with thunderstorms in the Kimberley and remaining west Interior.
Possible showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy at
times over northern parts of the South West Land Division, adjacent Goldfields
and south and central Gascoyne.

Forecast for Thursday 14 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, northern
and central Gascoyne, far western Interior and northern Goldfields. Possible
showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy at times
over southern and central parts of the state.

Forecast for Friday 15 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne,
and far northern parts of the South West Land Division. Possible showers over
remaining northern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy at times over
southeastern and central parts of the state.
