Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over northern parts of the State with little
change expected into early next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough lies through central and far southeastern parts of the
State and will persist into early next week. A new ridge is strengthening over
southern parts in the wake of the trough. A new trough will start developing
down the west coast over the weekend and deepen next week as a high moves into
the Southern Ocean by Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 10 March
Showers, rain and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, east and central Pilbara,
Interior, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla. Heavy rainfalls likely to
continue in the Eucla, eastern Goldfields and western South Interior. Possible
heavy rainfall from thunderstorms in the Kimberley. Chance of showers in
eastern parts of the South East Coastal District. Plenty of sunshine for
northern and western parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Monday 11 March
Showers and thunderstorms continuing in the Kimberley, Interior, eastern and
southern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla. Heavy rainfalls
likely to continue in the Eucla, eastern Goldfields and western South Interior.
Possible heavy rainfall from thunderstorms in the Kimberley. Possible showers
in the western Pilbara, far eastern Wheat Belt and South East Coastal District.
Sunny conditions across the west coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 12 March
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, north and east
Gascoyne, Goldfields, and Eucla. Heavy rainfall possible for the western South
Interior, northeastern Goldfields, Eucla, and mainly northern and eastern parts
of the Kimberley. Possible showers in the eastern and southern South West Land
Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 13 March
Showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, north and east
Gascoyne, Goldfields, and Eucla. Heavy rainfall from thunderstorms possible for
the southwest South Interior, northeastern Goldfields, and mainly northern
parts of the Kimberley. Possible showers in the eastern and southern South West
Land Division.
