Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough will persist over the north of the State.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough near the west coast will be pushed east today ahead of a
weak cold front crossing the southwest of the State. A high pressure ridge will
follow the cold front becoming established south of the State over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 8 March
Showers and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over the Kimberley,
Pilbara, Interior and inland Gascoyne. Chance of thunderstorms over the eastern
South West Land Division, Goldfields, and western Eucla. Showers possible over
the remainder.
Forecast for Saturday 9 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior,
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and far eastern South West Land Division.
Heavy falls likely over the Kimberley, Southern Interior, eastern Goldfields
and western Eucla.
Forecast for Sunday 10 March
Showers and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over the Kimberley,
Pilbara, Interior, northeastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and eastern South
East Coastal district.
Forecast for Monday 11 March
Showers and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over the Kimberley,
Pilbara, Interior, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and far eastern South
West Land Division
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
