Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough will persist over the north of the State this week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough is moving east across the Goldfields and will move to the
Interior later today and become slow moving for the remainder of the week. A
new high pressure ridge is extending across the west and southern coast. A
trough will re-form down the west coast by Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 5 March
Showers and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over the Kimberley, most
parts of the Pilbara, Interior, Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne, Eucla and far
eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of severe thunderstorms.
Light showers over the South Coastal and adjacent Great Southern. Very hot over
the far southwest Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 6 March
Showers and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over the Kimberley,
Pilbara, Interior, northern and eastern Goldfields, northern and eastern
Gascoyne, and eastern Eucla. Light showers or drizzle over southwest
Goldfields, South East Coastal and western Eucla. Very hot over the far
southwest Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne. Windy over the Darling Scarp in the
morning.

Forecast for Thursday 7 March
Showers and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over the Kimberley,
Pilbara, Interior, far northern Goldfields and northeast Gascoyne. Showers
about southern Goldfields, Eucla and South East Coastal. Windy over the Darling
Scarp in the morning.

Forecast for Friday 8 March
Showers and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over the Kimberley,
Pilbara, northern and central Interior, northern Goldfields and inland
Gascoyne. Showers possible over the remainder.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
