Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Lincoln lies just inland of the coast near Carnarvon,
tracking towards the south-southeast over western parts of the Gascoyne.
Elsewhere, a trough over the northern part of the Kimberley will drift
southward during the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving into the Bight while a trough lies inland from
the west coast. A new ridge will strengthen over southern parts of the State
from today shifting the rough eastwards during the start of the week.
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Lincoln continues to track south-southeast over western
parts of the Gascoyne and adjacent parts of the Central West today.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 25 February
Windy conditions, rain and gusty thunderstorms, with possible heavy falls over
the southwest Gascoyne, northern and eastern Central West. Moderate falls over
the Central Wheat Belt and southwest Goldfields. Isolated showers and
thunderstorms over the inland eastern Pilbara, Kimberley, North Interior and
remainder of the Gascoyne. Showers and thunderstorms possible through much of
the South West Land Division, except for the South West Capes which should be
dry. Very hot over the Interior.

Forecast for Monday 26 February
Possible showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, Interior, southeast and northeast Gascoyne, Central Wheat Belt,
northeast Great Southern, inland Southeast Coastal district and western
Goldfields. Possible showers about the remaining southern South West Land
Division. Very hot over the Interior and inland Pilbara.

Forecast for Tuesday 27 February
Possible showers and thunderstorms in the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, Interior and far northeast Gascoyne. Possible showers over the far
southern South West Land division with the chance of thunderstorms over the
Southeast Coastal and adjacent South coastal district. Very hot over the
Interior. Very hot over the Interior and inland Pilbara and northern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 28 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and northeast
Gascoyne. Very hot over the Interior and inland Pilbara and northern Gascoyne.
