Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure extends across the Pilbara and Kimberley. A
tropical low may drift across the Northern Territory border and into the
eastern Kimberley later on Sunday or Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough is developing along the west coast whilst a high pressure
ridge remains to the south. The low pressure trough is expected to move
eastwards on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 18 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley, and
northeastern parts of the Interior. Possible light shower developing later over
the far southwest of the State. Heavy falls possible over eastern parts of the
Kimberley. Windy over the Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and Interior. Very hot
over most parts of the State away from the southern coastal fringe.
Forecast for Monday 19 February
Rain, showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeastern parts
of the Interior. Heavy falls possible over the eastern Kimberley. Chance of a
light shower about the southwest coast. Windy over the Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields, Interior, Central West and across the Darling Scarp. Very hot over
southwest Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Interior, and most
parts of the inland South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 20 February
Rain, showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern parts of the
Interior and far northeastern parts of the Pilbara. Heavy falls possible over
the Kimberley. Windy over the Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, Interior.Very hot
over most parts of the State away from northeastern Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 21 February
Rain, showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern parts of the
Interior, and coastal parts of the eastern Pilbara. Heavy falls possible over
the Kimberley. Possible shower about the far southwest of the State.Very hot
over most parts of the State away from northern Kimberley and southwestern
parts of the State.
