Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure extends from the Pilbara coast to inland parts
of the Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extending over southeastern parts of WA is slowly moving to the east.
The southern section of a deep west coast trough will move inland today, ahead
of a new ridge developing on the southwest coast. The ridge will expand along
the south coast on Monday and across southern WA on Tuesday, pushing the west
coast trough further inland. A new branch of the trough will quickly form down
the west coast from Tuesday onwards.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 11 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley and northeast
Interior, mainly during the afternoon and evening. Very hot over the southwest
Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and across the South West Land Division away from
the southwest coast.

Forecast for Monday 12 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley and northern
Interior, mainly during the afternoon and evening. Light showers over southern
coastal parts of the South West Land Division. Windy about the southwest,
extending east over southern parts of the state during the day. Very hot over
southwest Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, and northern parts of the
South West Land Division. Milder about southern districts of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 13 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and North Interior. Chance
of afternoon and evening thunderstorms with little or no rainfall over the
Pilbara and northern South Interior. Chance of a light shower about the south
coast. Windy over southern parts of the state, gusty over the Darling Scarp in
the morning. Very hot over the far southwest Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne,
central Interior, northern Goldfields and northern parts of Central West.

Forecast for Wednesday 14 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of afternoon and
evening thunderstorms with little or no rainfall over the Pilbara and northern
Interior. Windy about central and southwestern parts in the morning. Very hot
over the far southwest Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and
northern parts of the South West Land Division.
