Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure lies over inland parts of northern WA. A ridge
extends into the west Pilbara, freshening winds over the area. The ridge is
expected to push the trough northward closer to the Pilbara coast early next
week, resulting in fresher east to southeasterly surges during the morning
through southern parts of the region.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep trough near Eucla is expected to move further east and into South
Australia later this morning. A ridge has become established overnight
following the passage of a weak cold front, and is expected to continue to
strengthen through central WA on Monday and Tuesday as a high moves into the
Southern Ocean and a new trough deepens down the west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 4 February
Chance of showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over
the inland Kimberley. Chance of showers over southern coastal districts east of
Augusta. Fresh and gusty winds about coastal parts of the Pilbara, Gascoyne and

hot from the inland Pilbara through the Interior but cooler in the eastern
South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla. Chance of raised dust
