Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over the Pilbara, Kimberley and North
Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies south of the State with a high in the Bight moving east. A deep
west coast trough will move inland during today. A weak cold front will brush
the south coast on Saturday and a new ridge will develop in its wake.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 2 February
Chance of showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over
the north and west Kimberley, western Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne. Very hot
through inland Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, much of the South West Land
Division, northern Interior and Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 3 February
Chance of showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over
the central and northern Kimberley, and western Pilbara. Chance of showers over
the South West Land Division southern coastal districts. Windy along the west
coastal areas and across the South West Land Division southwest, mainly in the
afternoon. Very hot over northern South West Land Division, inland Kimberley,
Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Interior and Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 4 February
Chance of showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over
central and northern Kimberley, and western Pilbara. Chance of showers over
southern coastal districts east of Windy Harbour. Windy along Pilbara coast and
southern WA. Very hot over inland Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne,
northern and central Interior. Chance of raised dust over far northwest
Gascoyne and Cape Range.

Forecast for Monday 5 February
Chance of showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over
much of the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and North Interior. Chance of light
showers over the south coast and southern parts of South Interior. Windy over
central and southern districts. Very hot over inland Kimberley, Pilbara,
northwest Gascoyne, northern Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
