Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough extends over the Pilbara to the North Interior. The
trough will move closer to the Pilbara coast and into the Kimberley on
Wednesday and Thursday as a high pressure ridge extends into northern parts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies south of the state, with a high pressure centre
moving into Bight waters on Tuesday and a trough forming down the west coast.
The trough will deepen down the west coast on Wednesday through to Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the Kimberley,
most parts of the Interior, central and eastern Pilbara, and far northeastern
Gascoyne. Very hot over southern and western parts of the Kimberley, inland
parts of the Pilbara, western Gascoyne, and Central West and northern parts of
the Lower West districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over most parts of the
Kimberley, northwest Interior, Pilbara and far northern Gascoyne. Windy over
central parts of the state. Very hot over the south and west Kimberley, north
and west Pilbara, western Gascoyne, and western and southern parts of the South
West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 1 February
Chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over most
parts of the Kimberley, far northwest Interior, Pilbara and northern and
central Gascoyne. Windy over central and northern parts of the state, mostly in
the morning. Very hot over the south and west Kimberley, Pilbara, west
Gascoyne, and most parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 2 February
Chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over most
parts of the Kimberley, north and west Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne. Very hot
over much of the Kimberley, Pilbara, west Gascoyne, far southern Goldfields and
South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
