Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure extends over the Pilbara coast to the North
Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough near the west coast will move east ahead of a weak cold front brushing
the southwest coast during the coarse of today. A new ridge of high pressure
will rapidly develop along the south coast early next week behind the cold
front, with another trough deepening down the west coast Tuesday and Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the eastern and northern Kimberley, and eastern
Interior. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over
the inland eastern Pilbara, western Interior, and far northeast Gascoyne. Light
showers southwest of Busselton to Albany. Chance of morning fog about the
southwest coast and over the northern Goldfields, adjacent northeast Gascoyne
and adjacent west Interior.

Forecast for Monday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and east Interior. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the inland central and
eastern Pilbara, remaining Interior, southeastern Gascoyne, and northern
Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and north Interior. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the inland central and
eastern Pilbara and remaining Interior. Very hot over southwestern parts of the
Kimberley, inland parts of the Pilbara, western Gascoyne, and Central West and
northern parts of the Lower West districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, north Interior, Pilbara and far
northern Gascoyne. Very hot over the south and west Kimberley, inland parts of
the Pilbara, western Gascoyne, and western parts of the South West Land
Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
