Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough remains over inland Pilbara and the Kimberley. A tropical low
over inland parts of the Northern Territory may move closer to the WA/NT border
during the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge remains to the south of the State, whilst a low pressure
trough moves east over eastern districts. Another trough will form inland from
the west coast over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 19 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the eastern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the inland
northern Gascoyne, Pilbara and northern Interior. Possible light morning
drizzle over the South West, South Coastal Districts and the far southwest of
the Great Southern District. Possible light showers along the Albany coast.
Very hot over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 20 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the eastern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the eastern
Pilbara and northern Interior. Very hot over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Interior and far northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 21 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the central and eastern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over
the Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, and northern Interior. Chance of a shower or
thunderstorm over the eastern South West Land Division and southwestern
Goldfields. Very hot over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and far
inland northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 22 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the central and
eastern Pilbara, far northeastern Gascoyne, and northern Interior. Chance of a
light shower along the Esperance coast. Very hot over the Pilbara, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Interior and far inland northern parts of the South West Land
Division.
