Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough remains over inland Pilbara and the Kimberley. A tropical low
over inland parts of the Northern Territory may move closer to the WA/NT border
during the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge remains to the south of the State. A deep trough just
inland from the west coast is moving east and will be followed by a milder west
to southwest flow across most of the South West Land Division from Thursday.
Another trough will form inland from the west coast over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 18 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the eastern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the
northern Interior, most parts of the Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, eastern parts of
the South West Land Division, Goldfields and western Eucla. Thunderstorms may
be severe over the eastern South West Land Division and Goldfields. Chance of a
light shower on the west coast. Very hot over the Pilbara, inland Gascoyne,
Goldfields, southern Interior and far eastern parts of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Friday 19 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the eastern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the inland
northern Gascoyne, Pilbara and northern Interior. Possible light showers along
the south coast between Augusta and Bremer Bay. Very hot over the Pilbara,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 20 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the eastern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the Pilbara
and northern Interior. Very hot over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Interior and far northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 21 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the central and eastern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over
the Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and northern Interior. Very hot over the
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and far inland northern parts of the
South West Land Division.
